Learning That Brings People Together

The Whole Student offers small-group learning experiences, workshops, and presentations designed to support meaningful learning, confidence, and growth across ages and vicinities. Led by  Lori MacKinder, Ed.D., these offerings draw on over 20 years of experience in K–12 education, higher education, instructional coaching, and research-based practice.

Groups and events may be offered onsite, in partner spaces, or by arrangement.

Small groups allow learners to build skills together in a supportive, low-pressure environment while still receiving individualized attention.

Group offerings may include:

  • Math support (elementary through adult learners)

  • Reading support and comprehension strategies

  • Study skills and academic organization

  • GED preparation

  • ACT / SAT preparation (content + test strategies)

Group size: Typically 2–6 participants
Format: Short-term series or ongoing sessions
Best for: Students who benefit from structure, encouragement, and shared learning

Group sessions are formed based on need and availability.
